6 Foods That Will Give Your Skin That Healthy Glow
Hey everybody, I’m Chef Jamika Pessoa – and welcome to my party! It’s no secret that as a chef I love to feed my face with delicious foods – but what you may not know is that the foods I choose to eat also feed my skin!! Are you ready to lose a few pounds and love the skin you’re in? Then kick back – pour a Beauty Smoothie and let’s get this party started!
I’m in front of the camera a lot – and people always ask me how my skin looks so great. Now I love a good concealer as much as the next girl – but the real key is my diet! We all know that what you put into your body is exactly what shows up on the outside – and these 6 foods are packed with the vitamins and nutrients that your body and your skin can’t live without! So take a sip, and check out my 6 foods that give your skin that healthy glow!
1. Spinach!
Packed with antioxidants, vitamins and nutrients naturally designed to benefit every skin type – adding spinach to your diet is like cleansing your skin, from the inside out!
2. Tomatoes!
Chock-full of Lycopene, tomatoes and tomato products improve your skin’s ability to better absorb oxygen and prevent signs of aging – keeping your skin plump and wrinkle-free!
3. Blueberries!
Bursting with antioxidants, vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin E, eating blueberries regularly will brighten dull or sun-damaged skin – giving your skin youthful appeal!
4. Walnuts!
Filled with healthy fats (yes some fats are healthy!) – walnuts can help reduce skin inflammation and play a vital role in protecting your skin against harmful UV rays!
5. Salmon!
Over-flowing with omega 3 fatty acids – salmon is filled to the brim with nutrients linked to reducing inflammation, and helps your skin to retain moisture – keeping your skin looking fresh and feeling vibrant!
6. Yogurt!
Yogurt does more than just provide calcium for strong bones. Unflavored yogurt naturally removes toxins from your body, giving your skin a clean & clear complexion! Consuming yogurt as a part of your regular diet – as well as applying yogurt to your skin in a mask is a great way to fight acne and heal wounds!
