5 Tips for Moving Your Thoughts into Action
As a celebrity chef, people ask me all the time how I’m able to move my thoughts into action – and actually accomplish the things that I want to do. And since creating this blog is part of my vision for 2019 – I thought what better way to start our conversation than sharing with you the tools that I’m using to realize my goals this year! So take a sip of your Grapefruit Champagne Spritzer, and let’s put my 5 tips for moving our thoughts into action – together!
1. Write down your ideas!
It is one thing to have an idea in mind, but it is another level of planning and faith to actually write it down. I keep my idea journal, a.k.a. my “Think Tank” with me to record any ideas that may come to me. You can use a journal, or an app on your phone – either way, no matter how crazy or far-fetched your idea seems, write it down!
2. Speak it!
Saying something out loud puts a charge to the universe to bring that energy to you – and remember, that goes for the good and the bad. Speak over yourself greatness every day! Speak that dream, hope, or prayer out loud – “I am a successful business owner”! Trust me, you say anything long enough and confidently enough – you, and the world will begin to believe it too!
3. Set specific and realistic goals!
Don’t just say “I want to lose weight this year.” Say, I want to lose XX pounds by this specific date and this is my plan to do it. Setting a number and date gives us something to work toward because, a vague goal will give you vague results. Be clear in what you want to achieve!
4. Do your research!
Talk to people, research online, and read books about the things you are striving for. See how others have done it in the past. Use other’s challenges and successes to formulate your plan of action. And if no one out there has done what you are trying to do, write down everything that you go through because someone will be researching your story in the future for guidance!
5. Go for it!
Go for it and go hard. Put your passion, pain, and time into whatever you desire. Make it a point every day to set aside time to work on your goal. Everyday! This thing you are after may take weeks, months or years. No matter how long it takes keep believing in it and keep at it. Consistency is the key to breakthrough!
