As seen on the DISH on Oz, say bye-bye to dried out hockey-puck burgers. Preparing these burgers in muffin tins creates super juicy perfectly portioned sliders everyone will love. This recipe works for the oven or outdoor grill. Be sure to season both sides of the patty to make sure there is flavor in every bite.

Yields12 Servings
Prep Time10 minsCook Time10 minsTotal Time20 mins
 2 lbs ground beef (80/20)
kosher salt and black pepper, to taste
1 lb sliced cheddar cheese, cut into quarters
 12 slider buns
 1 red onion, sliced
1 jar bread and butter pickles
 1 head butter lettuce
 mustard, ketchup, mayo
 toothpicks
1

Place a 12-muffin tin into the oven. Heat the oven to 450°F. While the oven preheats, divide the ground beef into 12 equal-sized burger patties. Press to flatten with your hands and make the patties the size of the muffin cups. Season both sides of the burger patties with salt and pepper.

2

When the oven has preheated, carefully remove the hot muffin tin from the oven. Place a burger patty into each muffin cup and place back into the hot oven. Bake for 5 to 6 minutes for a medium rare-medium burger. Remove the burgers from the oven and top with two pieces of cheese. Allow the cheese to melt while you build your burgers with your preferred toppings.

Place the bottom bun onto a platter. Top the bun with your preferred condiment. Remove the burger patties from the muffin tins with a spoon or butter knife and place onto the bun. Add the remaining toppings and fasten with a toothpick. Enjoy!
